My Top 10 Favourite Bollywood Movies

Who doesn’t love watching movies? Everyone does but it should be of their taste. Well, if you are a fan of inspirational, biographical, romantic and funny movies then you might like the movies that I am gonna include in my top 10 favourite Bollywood movies. But before that I would like to say that Everyone have their taste so it might not be everyone’s favourite type but I am pretty sure that you are gonna love these movies.

Now enough of chitchat! Let’s see what surprises this list has for you all——-

1. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

I could watch this movie again and again and again. This movie has things I personally relate to. But to be honest I didn’t find Naina’s character as the one of my type but instead Bunny and Aditi was some sort of a big inspiration to me. Many will now say that of course Aditi because Aditi was also worthless and Bunny was unstable but I don’t think so that’s true. Aditi loved her best friend Avi and did everything in her capacity to make him aware of Aditi’s feelings but despite of her hard efforts Avi didn’t seem to be bothered at all. So she decided to stop trying and live with the fact that Avi is never gonna love Aditi the way she wanted, so she was brave enough to accept and live with that and along the way she found true love from Taran. While Bunny was the loner type who was always hated the idea of marriage and settling down. He never looked for love in a person and instead found them in his dreams. He worked and travelled, he was independent and brave to live his life on his own terms. But again love is that only thing in the world which had the power to change someone. So, he couldn’t help but fell in love with the *TOPPER* Naina and chose to settle down.

Altogether this movie is a whole package of fun, inspiration and romance. This is about tge youth as the nane itself suggests. I am sure you are gonna love this one.

2. Dil Bechara

The movie is adopted from the English movie ” The Fault In Our Stars” and is starring late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi. This movie will bring tears into your eyes. Two Cancer patients, Manny and Kizie Basu who fall in love with each other. But both of them everyday struggle to live one more day and so they everyday experience the actual fear of the phrase we say during vows at the wedding -“Till death do us part.” The fear where they know that tomorrow when they wake up they might not see each other ever again as they are terrorized by the uncertainty of the days they might get to live because of the frightening disease cancer. What will happen? This movie is about how they live the numbered days of their lives together so tgat they regret a single moment.

This movie actually teaches us the importance of life. It also makes us realize how it feels to be terrorists by the uncertainty of the forever we say of our love and how precious every moment of our life is. We should always live our life to the fullest and not regret it.

3. The Sky is Pink

Aisha Chaudhary who is starred by Zaira Wasim, the daughter of Aditi starred by Priyanka Chopra and Nilen Chaudhary starred by Javed Akhtar, is a sweet, sassy and cool teenage girl who had to die just after roughly one year that she stepped to her adulthood thus lived for 18yrs. This movie is the story of her parents’ struggle for making the lifespan of Aisha who was affected by pulmonary fibrosis, a little longer and put all sorts of possibilities and experiences that people experience with time in their whole life to her doorstep ’cause time is that one thing that they were lacking of. In actual Aditi and Nilen had three kids- Tanya, Ishan (starred by Rohit Suresh Saraf) and Aisha. Tanya and Aisha died and Ishan is the only child who is healthy and alive. They first have to go to London to diagnose Aisha with problems relating to lack of immunity power making her vulnerable to germs. So she had to go through a bone marrow transplant but they couldn’t find a perfect match for which it needed to be followed by chemotherapy which showed its side effects years later after the transplant in the form of pulmonary fibrosis.

This movie is based on true story and ultimately is the perfect inspiration for living our life to the fullest as what matters is how you live the life because sooner or later the end point is death. This also conveyed an important message telling people to donate as if Aisha would have found a perfect match, she would have been around today happily living an almost normal life. The spunky and quirky girl narrating the life of her beautiful parents is a fun but a heart wrenching story is a must watch….don’t you think?

4. 3 Idiots

This movie is all about it’s comedy and facing the realities of life and in its way also finding the deep meaning of life and love. Three students of an engineering college- Rancho, Farhan and Raju make their way through one of the most thrilling, most memorable and at the same time the most vital stage of life which is their college life. The notorious incidents they cause there make everyone’s stomach pain by laughing. Though Rancho is an excellent student, Farhan and Raju somehow try and manage not to fail their semester. But Rancho opens their eyes by actually pointing out what is pulling them back and that is Farhan’s passion for becoming a wildlife photographer instead of an engineer and Raju living in the fear of future and not focusing on the present. While Rancho the most unromantic of them all manages to fall in love with the daughter of his college professor, Pia. Years after their college life Raju and Farhan start looking for their friend Rancho because of a promise they made.

This movie is all about the fair share of struggles in everyone’s life but what the problem is doesn’t matter until you believe in yourself and follow your dreams and passion. There is a lot to learn from this film. Highly recommended!

5. Chhichore

Another movie about reminiscing all the fun memories of one’s college and hostel life experience in one of the most prestigious engineering college in India. The movie is starring Sushant Singh Rajput as Anni, Shraddha Kapoor as Maya, Varun Sharma as Sexa, Naveen Polishetty as Acid, Tahir Bhasin as Derek, Tushar Pandey as Mummy and last of all Nalneesh Neel as Bevda. They all tell their college life experience of removing there very old tag of ‘Loosers’ and how it came with all the handwork, success and failures to inspire Anni and Maya’s only child Raghav who attempted suicide because of him not getting chance in the college after so much of hard work and dedication.

This film portrays the hard reality of today’s generation and how the pressure from the parents push the children to a point where they can’t find any other way but to end the life they have. Life comes with successes as well as failures and it is okay to accept your failures. This movie is a must watch for all the students and parents.

6. Aashiqui 2

A couples date night? Which movie to watch? Nothing can be better than watching a movie of hopeless romanticism with your lover. This movie was a hit for that very reason and yes of course it’s deep, meaning songs with awesome tunes and singing. The movies is starred by Shraddha Kapoor as Arohi and Aditya Roy Kapoor as Rahul. It shows what are the small sacrifices and adjustments Arohi had to made because of Rahul getting depressed and wasted. He was all trash to everyone but Arohi while he was also a big star singer like Arohi. But at last Rahul couldn’t watch Arohi give up her bright future and career in front of her so he decided to step back and push her away but Arohi never gave up and healed everything with her love but it costed her the bright career she had and Rahul couldn’t stand that. So, Aditya decides to leave everyone in this world by committing suicide. The story had a tragic end.

7. Neerja

The film Neerja is a biopic film based on the life of Neerja Bhanot a flight attendant who saved the lives of 340 passengers aboard Pan Am Flight which was hijacked at the Karachi Airport in 1986 by putting her life at stake. She showed an act of bravery and courage by saving so many lives yet she died and couldn’t save herself. She is an inspiration and role model to all of us. She not only made India proud but she uplifted the character and influence of women and showed that not only men are strong but women can be way more stronger. She is a inspiration to all of the women’s society all over the world. She is also the youngest and first woman recipient of the Ashok Chakra Award for Bravery.

This movie is heart wrenching but inspirational too. People of every age group can see it and this is how we xan spread the story of her bravery and keep her alive among us.

8. 2 States

Romantic movie lover? Yeah, you got it right. This movie is a perfect fit for that. Two people who fall in love in college or what we say as college sweethearts find difficulty to convince their family for marriage as the girl, Ananya starred by Alia Bhatt is Tamilian and the boy Krish starred by Arjun Kapoor is a Punjabi. Both tge families don’t agree on the inter-caste marriage due to the huge difference in their culture and social backgrounds. Their journey in convincing their parents to bless their relationship and fighting for their love is what makes it interesting. The fun and the love they had was special. It’s a must watch.

9. Half Girlfriend

Another Love story that will bring tears into your eyes. Some people say that this movie lacks of chemistry but the character never got a chance to show that because of the twisted story. The movies is starring Shraddha Kapoor as Ria Somani and Arjun Kapoor as Madhav Jha. Ria is a modern day rich girl from a metropolitan city who loves to sing and play guitar and had her dream of going to New York and sing there playing her guitar. On the other hand Madhav is completely different, he is from a Royal family of a village in Bihar but was not acquainted to the city lifestyle and had trouble adapting to it. Ria faces many difficulties and finds her escape in singing and Madhav the guy who has a crush on her. But they had a misunderstanding and Ria had to marry another guy because of her family. But this isn’t the end. The story is about the hurdles they face at their unification after Ria’s divorce.

10. Jab We Met

This film has its own share of romance and quirkiness at the same time. But people generally love this because of one of the main character, Geet played by Kareena Kapoor Khan. She is loved for her free spirit and her perspective towards life. While Aditya, another main character, played by Shaheed Kapoor, is a heartbroken business tycoon whose life was again filled with colours because of Geet and was inspired by her. While Aditya falls in love with her by that time it seems to be too late as Geet has already runaway with him in order to get married tge guy she loves Anshuman. But Aditya doesn’t know that Geet never got to marry her love as she was left alone by Anshuman. Fate seems to get them both aligned once again. Geet realises that she loved Aditya too.

This movie is a not only fun to watch but is romantic too. It’s songs are just evergreen and heart touching. I love this and pretty sure that you will too.

Hope you guys got some good movie suggestions to watch at your leisure time as we are getting more of it in this pandemic situation.
