Everyone picked up many new hobbies, obsessions and habits in this quarantine period. Well, I did too- binge watching shows on Netflix and stress eating along with it. Even though I live in a joint family I really don’t get much of an entertainment and most of the days I bored and stressed. So, if you think living with many people never makes you bored or tired you are wrong, in fact it can make you feel rather lonrly at times. But when you have so many interesting shows to watch it’s a good distraction.
Let’s take a quick peak at my go-to netflix shows-
1. F.R.I.E.N.D.S
Now, who doesn’t love this show. One of the best and most popular sitcom ever to come. This one works like an anti- depression pill for me and most probably for everyone else as well.
2. Lucifer
Ohhhh! What a hot Devil and the sexy chemistry of him with Detective Decker it to die for. The love story of the Devil falling in love with an ordinary human and their endeavors together is just to drool over.
3. Sex Education
Being an Indian where talking about sex seems like a crime, I learnt the importance of sex education. Not only that, it also made me learn a lot more about relationships, love and trust. Most importantly as a teenagrr myself I found a lot to relate to.
4. The Bold Type
Being a feminist myself, I got a lot to look upto from this show. Rather, I learnt to embrace this side of me. Being a women this show gave me role models. It taught me that life is never easy but being independent, being myself and accepting myself for who I am is what we truly desire. Every young women should watch this.
5. Teenage Bounty Hunters
Who doesn’t like a little mystery and chaos? This one isn’t a very popular one but highly recommend you guys to give it a try. This show gave me something different than the rest of the shows.
6. The Vampire Diaries
Most of you have heard of this one. I mostly watch this one to drool over how hot Damon aka Ian Somerhalder is. Though the actors in this show lack acting skills but their good looks had some what made up for that but Ian cracked both categories. I also loved the character of Caroline as it was really a powerful and responsible character.
7. Never Have I Ever
An Indian- American teenage girl always struggling to fit in, it’s kind of relatable to us Indians. Most importantly the chaos and drama in this show us good. Though there isn’t much chemistry in the couples of the show but it’s good.
8. Kota Factory
This one has put up the real struggle of students at Kota. It portrayed the hard life, difficulties, hard work put in by students to get selected for IIT. I guess that is why people love this one.
9. 13 Reasons Why
Another show which portrsyed the real life scenario of students at high school. The bullying, the anxiety, the depression, the hard life of an ordinary group of teenagers. It showed how difficult it can get for a student to cope up with life.
10. Stranger Things
This one is a fictional show but God knows how much interesting this one is. I really don’t know how but this one is top-notch entertainment. I also found the love story of Eleven and Mike really sweet.
11. Ginny and Georgia
The powerful character of Georgia is one anyone can dream of being. A survivor, a fighter, a motivator and most importantly a dutiful mother to both of her children. She knows how to put herself and her family beyond everything else and following her principles she always manages to protect them by hook or by crook.
12. Riverdale
The mystery, the crime, the horror in this show is everything. It is so focusing that it can take your mind off anything which can be so fun and relaxing for a while. The stories in every season were amazing. Also the ship of Bughead and Varchie is a must.
13. How to get away with Murder?
Another crime fiction and another powerful female character I am literally obsessed with. This one ain’t that popular but people who know they just know. Annalise Keating, a very professional and powerful defense attorney with a very clear thinking, intelligent and logical mind. She is also an amazing professor and was a mother-like character to her special group of students who work in her firm.
These are my Go-to Netflix Web-Series. Hope you guys found this useful and informative. Do try these I assure you will not be disappointed.
